Hysterectomy

Hello Everyone...

My Surgery is Scheduled for July 19, 2007 needless to say I am very nervous after reading some of the letters here, but I know that this has to be done. I have 7 fibriods and I have had a copo and also a LEEP which all come back with the same results, lots of abnormal pap smears...Pre cancerous cells... My doctor has advised me that a total hysterectomy is best...also the ovaries will be removed, there is a chance a cyst could develop and that would need to be removed....This could become cancerous.

I also have the fear of changeing, I don't want this surgery to change me as a women, I fear I won't be desireable to my husband anymore, or I won't have the desire for intimacy?? I am on a real roller coaster right now.. All comments and advise needed
