My friend's mother recently remarried. She and her husband had been trying to have another child for at least a year using IVF, but she developed fibroid tumors that left scar tissue in her uterus. She is also 47 years old, although she has aged beautifully.
We think that she is too old at this point to be considering having another child, considering that her only other child is already 21, and she is already 47. The IVF treatments did more harm than good, but she still wants to go through with another cycle.
How can we convice her to stop? Should we convince her to stop?
