fibroid/hypothyroidism
I am diagnosed with fibroids. Also hyperthyroid. All the doctors I have been to told me to have an hysterectomy because it is so huge. I look like I am 6months pregnant. People constantantly comes up to me to ask when I am due to have my "baby"! I am slim otherwise. I use to pass HUGE clots, ushing down my legs in public, bleed up to 1 to 2 months straight, had 1 blood tranfusion,r passed out at work because of extremwly low anemia and rejected 1st blood transfusion. almost died. My self esteem has now gone to the dogs because of pretruding stomach. I read an article plus Dr advise, that hypothyodisms can be a main cause of heavy bleeding in stead of the fibroids and some women are misdiognised. Since taking my thyroid medicine, my bleeding seem to have balaced out dramatically and I now have regular 5 days period. still heavy period but not as heavy before. Still have all the other symptoms, bloating urinary etc. Ask your doctor about checking for hypo or hyper thyroid. I am scared of hysterectomy, praying about embolization but dont have insurace coverage. any advise?
