Family History of Fibroids
I am a 33 year old mother of one, who was diagnosed with fibroids while pregnant at 28 years old. At the time my doctor told me if they don't bother you we won't bother them. Women in my family have long a history with fibroids. Grandmother, mother and a cousin have had hysterecomies. My grandmother died from complications, mainly a blood clot.
I am hoping to avoid the recommended hysterecomy. I would like to hear from anyone who was encouraged to have a hysterecomy but decided against it.
