Fibroid
I am 70 yrs old in good health. I work out at least 4 times a week doing water aerobics, cardio, and weights. My bones are good, don't have high blood pressure but do have a lot of stress in my life and take meds for that. Went to Dr. with what I thought was a yeast infection. No blood. Dr. did ultrasound and said my uterine wall was thick and had one fibroid size of golf ball which I have had for 30 yrs. It was larger before menopause. She scheduled me for D & C and Hysteroscopy removal of one polyp. It all came back benign. On my 2 week post she said I needed a Hysterectomy. I was really blind sided with this news. I do not bleed. I do have some discomfort at times but liveable. I want to get another opinion as I do not want to have this surgery. I know all of my female organs are not of any use but I still want to keep them unless there will be a problem on down the road.
