100% Better
Last year after an ultra sound, my doctor informed me that my heavy periods where the result of a "small" submucosal fibroid. He informed me my options where either a hysterectomy or he could refer me to an interventional radiologist. Although I was anemic and miserable, the thought of having a hysterectomy terrified me. Shortly after meeting with my IR, I underwent the UFE procedure.
I was given an epidural during the procedure and was able to return to work a week later. Every period I have had since then has been normal, I am no longer anemic and feel 100% better.
I would strongly suggest anyone with fibroids seek out infromation about Uterine Embolization.
