Failed UAE
On January 28th 2005 I had uterine embolization by a radiologist after suffering several years with multiple fibroids upon the recommendation of my OB who had me scheduled every six months for pelvic ultrasounds: watching the sizes of the fibroids, I saw my OB for a six month check up and she did not believe that I had the procedure done. The first 3 months periods were light and I felt okay.Then everything was back to normal with heavy bleeding, naseau, frequent urination..
i am 47 now and am being advised to try laparoscopic hysterectomy. Beware of the hoopla of UFE. there are failure rates that no one mentions. Weigh all the options carefully before deciding. Anonymous
